Because we enjoy having interesting conversations with friends, and because we believe human beings can be uplifted through the arts, and because we love to circulate poems and songs, photos, drawings, and prints, and because we are growing old and prefer to do so together, and because we want to have fun . . . welcome to ALTE!

The name means what you think it means. (Hint, it’s not Latin.)

ALTE is the product of a “what-do-we-boomers-do-now” conversation — now that we are retired or semi-retired or just ready to do something while we still have time and energy. ALTE was a print magazine for its first 12 numbers, but is now strictly electronic, here at the website and at alte.substack.com.
